This event, organized by the Aragonese clusters Arahealth and Tecnara, is a showcase of technologies and projects linked to the world of health, a sector that increasingly uses technological resources to improve the processes of prevention, diagnosis, therapy, care of the elderly or genetic studies.

At the opening of the event, Daniel Álvarez, president of Arahealth, highlighted “the collaborative spirit that exists between the two organizing clusters, which is reflected in a long history of collaborative projects developed with the participation of companies from both entities.” For his part, Félix Gil, president of Tecnara, wanted to emphasize that “the technology and health sectors are intrinsically related, and that they will go even more hand in hand if we know how to develop this capacity for collaboration, the object of this conference, to develop even more projects than those we will be able to contemplate today.”

In the main presentation of the day, Francisco Javier Perdices, Healthcare Senior Account Executive Spain at Amazon Web Services, explained the opportunities of the cloud and “its massive data processing capacity for the entire range of needs demanded by management and health care, always in a confidential and cyber-secure manner, helping health systems to rely on technology to overcome the obstacles of lack of human or economic resources.”

Next, the project showcase began, in two separate round tables aimed at the application of the Internet of Things and the analysis of massive data in real applications. Seven projects in which we find users such as the San Juan de Dios hospital, MAS Prevention, large pharmaceutical managers such as Novaltia or Alliance HealthCare, or advanced projects for early cancer diagnosis.

The Conference closed with an open contact session between the attending institutions and companies, to encourage the exchange of ideas that generate new collaborative innovation projects between the Arahealth and Tecnara companies.
