BioClonal

BioClonal S.L. is a biotechnology company that seeks to be a benchmark in the field of immunization. They develop monoclonal antibodies for use in human therapy, which devises an in vivo technology platform of its creation: RedMabs. They want to contribute all our knowledge to the ecosystem so that together can generate better drugs and improve people´s quality of life.

The idea for this company arose in 2021 within a family business conversation, with deep experience in the biotechnology sector. Their interest in monoclonal antibodies was evident, and they detected the huge potentiality of this emergent sector. The financial muscle to invest was available and they decided to invest. In 2022 they were able to present the complete business plan and incorporate the ten collaborators, now part of our team. BioClonal is located in the Empresarium Industrial Estate in Zaragoza, and nowadays, it has one thousand square meters of fully equipped laboratories with the best technology to carry out this activity.

Their activity fits in research and experimental development in biotechnology. Specifically, the company focuses on the discovery phase, from the conception of the idea to the sequence of the base monoclonal or the purified antibody. Today, the objective is to develop a platform for the discovery of antibodies for use in human therapy, through their exclusive technological platform, and to be the partner of other platforms at an international level.

The Aragon Emprende Foundation, through the Aragon Development Institute, awarded them with the Idea contest prize 2023 in the “Project” category, rewarding the research and development, through RedMabs platform, of a therapeutic monoclonal antibody to treat such a devastating and cruel disease as Alzheimer’s disease. We also received the Social Responsibility seal of Aragon this year.

Aragon became a nation-referent community in the biotech sector. BioClonal wants to belong and contribute to this business network, being proud to belong to Aragon for its huge capacities and potential.
