We are a Spanish enterprise that first began operating in 1993 with a primary focus on offering solutions within the field of veterinary diagnostics. The location, next to Zaragoza places us in an excellent position not just geographically, but also in terms of animal production. Despite the fact that our business is well-established in Spain, we are committed to upholding the confidence of our clients while expanding our international presence.
Exopol initially focused on working with swine and ruminants, but soon, thanks to the excellent work and ongoing market demand, we began to boost other species. Hence, because we are an enterprise that recognizes the value and necessity of professional qualification, we have assembled an exceptional team of veterinary specialists for each animal species, assuring the best possible care for our clients and their needs.
The activities of Exopol revolve around three main areas: diagnostics service, autogenous vaccines production and qPCR kits development, with the former serving as the company’s core and connecting the rest. For many years, the company has been consistently working on implementing innovative solutions to tackle the various issues that exist in the animal health industry to fulfil the market’s needs. That is the reason why the enterprise has been a pioneer in the use of panels to assess the presence of the multiple agents involved in certain pathogen processes.
These panels integrate serological, microbiological, and molecular diagnostic approaches to provide a sensitive and specific diagnosis that even identifies the pathogen’s serotype and potential virulence factors.
Supported by our great diagnostic service, we are continuously increasing our autogenous vaccines production capacity, which are manufactured under strict quality controls and in controlled environments.
One of the most valuable tools, whose manufacture started in 2011 to assist our diagnosis department and the processes required for the autovaccines elaboration, are the qPCR kits production. Our high-qualified human resources, the company’s ongoing investment in research, and the expanding needs of the industry and our consumers, are the reason why today we have a remarkable portfolio of more than 300 references for sale.
But today, Exopol is much more. Thanks to the effort and dedication to R&D, we work in other important lines such as cell culture, pharmacology, hematology and biochemistry, intestinal health, and environmental monitoring, among others.
As mentioned above, our main goal is to help both veterinarians and other laboratories to ensure animal health, by providing a reliable diagnosis service and offering additional and alternative solutions such as autogenous vaccines. We understand the value of research in order to keep innovating and delivering tools to the field, that is why 30% of our staff members are fully committed to R&D and have a vast experience in research projects.
